I am a writer and multimedia journalist with work appearing in places like the BBC, The Daily Beast, Jacobin, New Humanist, Telegraph (UK), Thrillist (Vox Media), and others.
My interests include geopolitics & international relations, critical security and conflict, international development, underreported travel, and how this reporting and writing can be displayed or told in new ways.
I hold degrees in Political Science from the University of Louisiana and International Relations & Political Economy from the Universiteit van Amsterdam.
I have reported from Togo, Benin, Ethiopia, Madagascar, Kenya, Sierra Leone, and The Netherlands, among others.
I am currently based in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
