About Me

I'm a freelance journalist and (multi)media factotum with work focused at the intersections of travel, culture, and politics, exploring not just where people live, but how systems, history, and power shape everyday life.

I am drawn to places and regions without tourism sectors, particularly geographically isolated communities. Much of my writing has been based around developments in Sub-Saharan Africa, where I have reported from Benin, Ethiopia, Libya, Kenya, Madagascar, Togo, and Sierra Leone.
